Back in business again
After a month of turmoil, it finally seems like the Archive, Forum and everything based on the original domain, has been put back together and functions again, the last part, the Report a Cameo/Reference/Crossover form coming together again this evening.
Thanks to everybody who has offered support as well as voiced concern, going as far as mailing and asking for my wellbeing because of the sudden lack of connection, be it forum or site-wise :)
The original hack forced me to get everything moved to another server, which again caused a lot of trouble and lacks in the various sites and codings, of which the most notable and sad was the loss of 9 months of posts on the Dragonboard Forums, on which both the Archive, the Crossover Wars and the various Halloween Capers are represented. The loss made the planning forum of the Halloween Cameo Caper 2008 look almost complete empty, a sorry show for all those who worked hard on planning and drawing their parts... fortunately their work are stored in the Caper's Hub, and though the plans for show are lost for posterity, they still have enough to work towards the ending of the Caper's plotline... which is still ongoing.
Also, despite the loss of forum-data, all cameos/references etc. submitted through there were also copied and stored externally and was therefore saved, and of the information that wasn't, faithful forumgoers helped dig it out from catches etc...
But, despite it all, the Archive and associated projects are back in business and, to all appearances, still going strong. The Archive itself can actually celebrate its 4 year anniversary this month of February.
4 years of tracking characters, and we are far from over... lost of new things are going to, hopefully, happen in the year to come, so thanks to everybody for your continuous help and support!
